On the 19th of October 2008 RINIWA organised our second 3-round, 200AP 1-day DBMM tournament. This page contains some images of the day and the final results of the competition. Mick Hessian umpired, list-checked and painted the door prize - well done Mick!
Although everyone is still learning the rules, there weren't many umpire calls on the day but there were a number of high profile upsets on the tabletop showing that the change of rules (from DBM to DBMM) has certainly opened up the podium.

Following Rob's Brian Boru Report, here's another account charting my
progress at what was a very enjoyable event. Having previously
fielded a massive but low quality Zanj army in competition, on this
occasion I decided to go to the opposite extreme by fielding a tiny
but high quality Early Tang Chinese army as follows:
Command 1 (12 ME)
Reg Cv (S) Sub-general
3 x Reg Cv (S)
1 x Reg LH (F)
Command 2 (14.5 ME)
Reg Cv (S) SC-in-C
4 x DBEs of Reg Bw (X/O)
2 x Reg Bw (O)
1 x Reg Ps (O)
2 x Irr LH (S)
1 x Irr Bg (I)
Command 3 (12 ME)
Reg Cv (S) Sub-general
3 x Reg Cv (S)
this was a 200AP, 3 round comp in Dublin.
My list was:
C1: 1xRCvS CnC, 7xIAxS, 1xIPsO, 2xRPsO, 2xRBwO, 1xIBgI - 16.5ME
C2: 1xRCvS SG, 5xRBdF, 4xRPsO, 2xRBwO, 1xIBgI - 15.5ME
C3: 1xRCvS SG, 1xRCvO, 8xRPkF, 1xIBgI - 15ME
Feigned Flight stratagem
Not a great army but it is what I'm painting at the moment so I was
determined to use it. Armies like this with many minima/troop types
tend to be scrappy at 200AP as you have a mix n match of troops
hence I maximised the foot to make the army more homogeneous.
The Irr foot version of this army is probably better but I haven't had
in Dublin this weekend we had our second 3-round, 200AP 1-day DBMM
tournament. The results were as follows:
