  • The decisions of the umpire are final.
  • The draw will be a seeded swiss based on the current DBMM glicko ratings (http://www.dbmm.org.uk/rankings/). As far as possible, no players from the same region will be drawn against each other in the first round.
  • Games will be 3.5 hours +/- 15 minutes in duration. The exact time will be secretly determined by the umpire.
  • Games will end immediately (whistle stop) when the umpire calls time. Roll no more dice, move no more troops and proceed to the end of the bound evaluation of commands breaking/disheartening etc and then calculate the scores.
  • There will be prizes for winners and runners-up.

    League Finals Competition Rules

  • Armies must be 400AP or less.
  • Players must use their army from the RINIWA League 2011.
  • There will be no byes. If necessary players will be promoted from the Doubles event to play in the finals if there is less than all 4 finalists.

    Doubles Competition Rules

  • Armies must be 500AP or less.
  • This is an unrated competition.
  • Players must use one of their armies from this years league (or if neither participated in the league then one from the theme list below). Ideally this would be that of the player finishing higher in their pool but this is not mandatory.
  • If there is an odd number of players in the RINIWA League finals event then the most eligible* player present in the doubles event (excluding those playing with a minor in the Doubles) will be asked to play in the league finals instead and their partner will play in the doubles as a singleton using either their own army or an umpire-supplied army.
  • If there is an odd number of teams then a volunteer team will be asked to split into individuals, either playing a player or umpire-supplied army. There will be no byes.
  • Each Player must command, move and be responsible for at least 30% of the ME in the army.
  • To speed game play, players may only control commands that are adjacent i.e. each player must operate at his/her own end of the table. Control of commands may therefore change during the course of the game.

    * Player eligibility for elevation to league finals will be determined in this order:
    1. The highest placed player in a pool not represented in the finals.
    2. The highest placed player in the largest pool with only 1 player in the finals.
    3. The highest placed player in any pool normalised for pool size.
