Arch-nemesis List - at 13 April 2008 (post Celtic Championship 08)

The table below shows the ARCH-NEMESIS, if any, of each player who has played at least 30 games. There were 26 such players. The number of games that count for this purpose are shown after the player's name.

Each player's arch-nemesis is defined as the opponent who has had the greatest cumulative net success against that player.

The cumulative net success is calculated by deducting the opponent's score from the player's in each game (all games scored out of 10). So for example if an opponent won 9-1, the net success is +8 and this is added to the cumulative net success total for that opponent against this player.

Whichever opponent has the greatest total cumulative net success across all games, is considered the nemesis PROVIDED the total is positive and the two players have played at least twice. After all, your nemesis should be the opponent has beaten up on you most rather than the player you have beaten up least. Also it should not be somebody who fluked one win.

Where two opponents have the same level of net success against a player, the one who has played the least games is the nemesis. If this is also equal then it is the opponent who played most recently.

Games involving a player that opted out are ignored in determining the nemesis.
