RINIWA is an association of wargames players from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland who have come together to promote the wargames hobby on the island of Ireland and to represent internationally the interests of competition wargames players in Ireland. This is important because the field of international wargames competition is becoming increasingly organised and we need an umbrella organisation to make our voice heard by joining the International Wargames Federation.
The RINIWA League is an annual themed event that is usually run in two stages: a provincial group stage which takes place in local clubs and games are played once a month during the spring/summer, a finals stage that is usually played on one day between the winners of the group stages.

well here are the results, hard fought all round (but especially bloody in both Munster
and Leinster) also came down to a knife-edge of a final round with many possible
combinations of winners.
Leinster
Place, Name, Score, Positions above seeding
1 Donal 81 +1
2 Rob 80 +2
3 Mick 78 (on tie-break) +0
4 Jan 78 -3
5 Thomas 72 +0
6 Mike 71 +2
7 Brian 25 (no Sept game score received) +0
8 Dave 22 (no Sept game score received) -2
Hence Rob wins the prize for placing highest above his seeding due the
the tie-break of his individual result vs Mike.

the regional stage of the RINIWA DBMM league is drawing to a close with the final game pairings and leader boards published below. In most provinces it has been a tough fight but Munster is a bloodbath with very big wins and most games ending in bloody victories. Only Ulster has a clear winner at this stage.
There will be an invitational 2-round finals in Dublin at the end of November where the regional winners (2 from Dublin as the largest pool) will duke it out to determine the overall league winner.
